Prior to establishing her own firm, Cole spent eleven years as the in-house counsel at Niagara University. While at Niagara, Cole was on the University's Committee on Crisis Response, was trained in the National Incident Management System, and participated in numerous drills for campus emergencies. These days, Cole uses that experience to advise on the development of crisis response plans, and to offer workable guidance on planning for emergencies in libraries, museums, and other public educational spaces.
