Loriene Roy was born and raised in northern Minnesota. She is Anishinabe, enrolled on the White Earth Reservation (Pembina Band), a member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. Dr. Roy received an MLS from the University of Arizona and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
She is currently Professor and Graduate Advisor in the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin where she teaches graduate courses in reference, library instruction, social/cultural constructs of information, and popular music/digital design. She served as 2007-2008 President of the American Library Association. Currently she is a member of the Library of Congress Literacy Awards Advisory Board, Freedom to Read Foundation Board of Trustees and Design4Learning: 21st Century Online Learning for Library Workers Leadership Team. She has received numerous professional awards, most recently the 2015 Distinguished Service Award, American Indian Library Association; 2014 Library School Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus Award, Graduate School of Library and Information Science, The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and the 2014 Sarah Vann Award, ALA Hawai'i Student Chapter at the University of Hawai'i Manoa Library & Information Science Program. She has given over 600 presentations at venues around the world and has numerous publications.

Board of Trustees Election
As required by Article II, Section 5 of the South Central Regional Library Council Bylaws,
the following nominees are to be sent to the members of SCRLC with the notice of the Annual Meeting.

Camille Andrews, User Engagement Librarian, Cornell University, for a first full term, 2016-2020.
Camille Andrews is User Engagement Librarian at Albert R. Mann Library at Cornell University Library, where she works on outreach, instruction, and assessment for learning outcomes, technologies, services and spaces. Since 2004, Camille has also been involved in information literacy initiatives and learning technologies, and she is extremely interested in the intersection of library and information science, education, user experience and instructional design, 21st century literacies and new technologies. Camille graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1996 with a BA in Literary and Cultural Studies (focused on Francophone African and Caribbean Literature) and from Simmons College in 2003 with a master's in Library and Information Science.

Jean Jenkins, Medical Librarian/CME Coordinator, Lourdes Hospital, for a first full term, 2016-2020.

Jean is an accidental medical librarian. She began working part time in the Lourdes Hospital Archives in 2005, then became the librarian/continuing medical education coordinator when Sue Bretscher was promoted in 2012. Mentoring from Sue and two graduate library courses facilitated this transition. She has been an active member of the HLSP and Advisory Committee. She holds MD and PhD degrees from the University of Chicago.

David Stevick, Director of Libraries & Information Resources, Houghton College, for a first full term, 2016-2020.

David Stevick is the Director of Libraries & Information Resources at Houghton College, where he has served for 7 years. In addition to his library duties he is currently chairing the college Educational Technology Committee. David has worked for 3 colleges during his career. Prior to moving to Houghton, he was privileged to direct the library of the New Mexico branch of Diné College, the community college of the Navajo Nation. His hobbies include running, hiking, and languages, and often in his leisure time he can be found kayaking with his family on the many and varied New York waterways.
