NYLA Conference | ESLN Program: The Law(s) of Managing Digital Assets

NYLA Conference | ESLN Program: The Law(s) of Managing Digital Assets November 15th, 2019

Hosted by: The Empire State Library Network

Description:
The concept of digital rights and digital asset management can seem daunting and worrisome to those of us who are not intellectual property lawyers. What are digital rights and digital assets? What can you do with them? How can you maximize your rights while avoiding infringement claims or a lawsuit? Join attorneys Stephanie Adams of WNYLRC's "AskTheLawyer" service and publishing law attorney Sallie Randolph as they discuss (and debate) key concepts and answer questions regarding fair use, copyright, contracts, and other legal aspects of digital assets. ESLN program managers will also be on hand to review the digital assets form used in such programs as New York Heritage.
