Presenters:
Eve Abrams, LCSW is a therapist and crisis intervention specialist at Cornell University. She has advanced training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction from the UMASS medical school. She guides meditation through Let's Meditate at Cornell as well as leads local MBSR groups in the Ithaca Community. Eve has a keen interest in applying practices to increase our capacity for joy and to skillfully respond to suffering.
Joanne Taormina, LMSW, has been working as a clinical social worker for over 30 years and maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Ithaca, NY. She has completed the highest level of training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the UMass Center for Mindfulness and teaches MBSR courses in Ithaca. Joanne co-created the MBSR program at The Stress Reduction Center at Long Island Behavioral Medicine and has taught a 5-day MBSR Intensive at Adelphi University.
