Description: Lori Bell, lead developer for the Content Creation Module, and Samantha Settimio, lead developer for the Course Management Module, will lead program alumni in a discussion about the practices they have incorporated into their own online teaching as a result of their experience with this module. They will also present the new and improved versions of their modules, launching on WebJunction.org this summer.

914_loribell.jpgMs. Bell is Interim Special Projects Coordinator at SCRLC and has worked in a wide variety of library settings. She has been honored as a Library Journal Mover and Shaker for her work to apply technology to library services.

 

 

850_500_0_sam_settimioe1474304243840.jpgMs. Settimio is a current graduate student in the MSLIS program at Syracuse University and will graduate May 2017. Her interests involve digital humanities, critical and digital pedagogy, liaison librarianship, and assessment.

 

 

111_Kirklandredhalosmile.jpgArden Kirkland, Project Coordinator for the D4L program, will also help facilitate the discussion and will share information about the D4L program as a whole, including the relationships formed among alumni as they keep in touch through a continuing community of practice. Ms. Kirkland is an independent digital librarian, providing consulting services for digital collections and online learning.

521_jan_photo_for_Linkin.jpgJan Keiser is the Lead Researcher for JKE Research. Her capstone project begins with a slideshow that depicts a basic search using animation to navigate PubMed. 

 

 

563_d4lashleymiddleton.jpgAshley Middleton is the Digital Services Assistant at New Lenox Public Library in New Lenox, IL. Her capstone project brings her library's in-person Digital Media Lab orientation online, helping patrons access this valuable resource at their convenience.

 

 

248_IMG_0001_3.JPGPaul J. Lee is an Associate Manager for the New York Public Library Out-of-School-Time Program in New York City. His capstone project is an online tutorial for program coordinators who want to observe tutors in an after school tutoring program called Enrichment Zone.
