This Webinar is a discussion of the practical uses of learning perspectives and formal instructional design strategies for effective online teaching and learning. Participants will be able to access the Design for Learning (D4L) Program MOOC after the Webinar.


Diane K. Kovacs has been a Web Teacher and Librarian at Large for nearly 25 years. She is the Project Coordinator for Design for Learning: 21st Century Online Teaching and Learning Skills for Library Workers; IMLS Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Grant Project. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor, SJSU iSchool as well as a Visiting Lecturer, UIUC. Her most recent books are 7 Steps to Effective Online Teaching forthcoming from ALA Editions: Chicago in Summer 2016 and Finding a Public Voice (2014).
