Coordinated Collection Development Aid (CCDA) for Academics Advisory Committee
Purpose
The Coordinated Collection Development Aid (CCDA) for Academics Advisory Committee advises the Executive Director on the planning, implementation, and ongoing development of the CCDA program for academic libraries within the region.
Role
The CCDA Advisory Committee:
- Reviews and evaluates the CCDA program, including the CCDA Plan and related web content.
- Identifies needs and develops activities that support regional academic library participants.
- Recommends policies, priorities, and initiatives related to coordinated collection development.
- Investigates trends in coordinated collection development and identifies best practices applicable to the region.
- Plans and supports staff training, educational programs, and networking opportunities related to CCDA.
2025-2026 Activities
- Establish and develop its committee infrastructure, including finalized purpose and role statements.
- Advise the Executive Director on the CCDA components of the 2026-2031 Plan of Service 2026-2031.
- Update the regional CCDA Plan.
- Provide recommendations for CCDA-related content on SCRLC’s website.
