The sources of indoor air contaminants are illustrated with case histories that put the problem into perspective and demonstrate the correctable nature of this problem. The basics of conducting an indoor air quality investigation are covered, with surveys of building inhabitants and the correlation of air monitoring results demonstrated as important investigative tools. Regulations and recommendations on the indoor environment are discussed, with some public relations and labor relations aspects of indoor air quality, to assist in dealing with perceptions and fears in building occupants.
