Audience: The Resource Sharing "ILL Goes to the Moon and Back" workshop is open to all librarians and library staff who work in the resource sharing/interlibrary loan field. 

We encourage all who work in academic, public, school, hospital, and special libraries to attend, as we will have presenters representing the different types of ILL systems you may use, and this is a perfect time to hear about changes, future initiatives, and have any questions answered.

Plenty opportunities to network and discuss your resource-sharing challenges, solutions and concerns. We hope you will join us!

9:00 am: Resource Sharing Panel on recent changes and enhancements

• 9 - 9:50 NNLM/DOCLINE - Erin Latta, , NNLM DOCLINE Coordination Office Coordinator provides day-to-day customer service and member training for DOCLINE for the entire US. She will present on the new changes in DOCLINE 6.0 and the future initiatives they are working on for this platform.
• 10 - 10:10:50 OCLC's Discovery & FirstSearch - Lesley Lloyd, Library Services Consultant will provide updates on changes in OCLC/First Search and future initiatives and Karri Sites, Library Services Consultant at OCLC will discuss Tipasa.
• 11 - 11:50 Atlas Systems - Genie Powell, Director of Special Projects, will present on ILLiad tips and tricks as well as give a preview of Version 9.1.

1:00 - 1:50 pm: "A Day in the Life of ...", Tracy Grimm is Associate Head of Purdue University Archives and Special Collections and the Barron Hilton Archivist for Flight and Space Exploration. Grimm provides leadership in aligning undergraduate research student success with the Archives' overall collections priorities.

As Hilton Archivist, she manages and develops the Barron Hilton Flight and Space Exploration Archives which holds the personal papers of engineers, astronauts, and aviators including Amelia Earhart, Ralph Johnson, Neil Armstrong, Eugene Cernan, Jerry Ross, Roy Bridges Jr., and Janice Voss. In collaboration with Purdue faculty she develops course components to integrate archival literacy and primary source research skills into classroom instruction.

2:00 - 2:50 pm: "Constant Change is the New Workflow: Understanding Change to Create Calm", Ben Hogben, Access Services Manager, Ithaca College.

Ben's presentation "Constant Change is the New Workflow: Understanding Change to Create Calm", will allow attendees to learn the importance of identifying the goal of change, and how personality styles relate to adapting to new workflows. Discussions will include the different stages of change and why one might have trouble moving from one stage to another. The presentation will end with a bibliography of resources that may help understand the process of change.

Presenter Bios (in order of presentation):

Erin D. Latta 

Erin began work at the Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HS/HSL) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in 2005, leaving for a short time to work at the Base Library of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Since 2008 she worked with Electronic Resources at the HS/HSL while serving on several committees including the Staff Education & Training and Events, Display, and Promotion committees as well as Staff Events committees throughout the years. 

Lesley Lloyd 

Prior to her work for OCLC/FirstSearch, Lesley was the National Academic and Medical Sales Manager for Wolper Information Services (now the LM Wolper Information Delivery) and the Senior Account Manager for EBSCO Information Services. She is passionate about information delivery services and providing excellent customer service to all her clientele.

Karri Sites

Karri Sites, Library Services Consultant, has been with OCLC for over 13 years. She has served in a variety of roles, all of which have been working directly with members, which she has a passion for. Karri focuses her time primarily on Resource Sharing. Shei obtained her bachelors from Kent State University and her Masters from Spring Arbor University.

Genie Powell 

Genie happily abandoned an Engineering degree at Virginia Tech in favor of a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. This allowed her to work many hours in the library, first as a shelver, then as a junior programmer, and later as a full-time programmer in the interlibrary loan office. Be good to your shelvers. They will do great things. She lives three blocks from the Chesapeake Bay with her two large mutts, three pushy cats, and one unusually tall 9-year-old son.

Tracy Grimm

Bernard Hogben

Ben Hogben is the Access Services Manager for the Ithaca College Library and supervises thirty-eight student employees and four full time staff members. Ben was the functional lead for Alma implementation for Access Services and is the Systems Administrator for ILLiad.

Ben has a BA from Ithaca College and training that includes employee and student coaching, and MBTI certification.

He has written articles on coaching employees, conducting performance evaluations, hiring and training student employees, and hosting animal assisted activities at the Library.
